It may be necessary to retain customer information throughout the verification. You might want to retain a reference number or record locator related to the customer in your system.

This can be done by sending Veriff an optional vendorData field along with the created verification session. The vendorData field will also be sent back to you in the decision webhook, which contains the final decision by Veriff about the verification session. The vendorData field is a 400 character string.

An example of a code snippet to pass on an UUID "1234512345" of your customer:

{
    "verification": {
"lang": "et",
   "person": {
        "lastName": "Toomas",
        "firstName": "Tundmatu"
},
"document": {
        "type": "ID_CARD",
        "country": "EE"
},
"features": [
             "selfid"
],
"timestamp": "2019-08-21T17:47:26.183Z",
"vendorData": "UUID: 1234512345"
     }
}
